The theory of dynamical systems represents a fundamental background for the study and understanding of a wide range of physical, biological and chemical phenomena. It also bears noteworthy applications to social and economic sciences. At a more fundamental level, the discovery of deterministic chaos, with its strong sensitivity to initial conditions, shows that not all deterministic dynamical systems are predictable. This notion is an essential part in the modern understanding of the world around us.

This course aims to introduce the fundamental notions necessary for the qualitative and quantitative understanding of the physics of dynamical systems, from regular to chaotic motions. Numerical examples and algorithms for the study of nonlinear dynamics will also be introduced.

We expect students to develop an in-depth understanding of the topics covered, together with the ability to deal individually with non-linear dynamics problems through the correct use of the technical tools introduced. Basic knowledge of Calculus, Classical mechanics and Analytical mechanics especially Hamiltonian dynamics.

Characterization of chaos: fractal attractors, probability measure, ergodicity, mixing, Lyapunov exponents. Hamiltonian dynamics. Canonical transformations. Action-angle variables. Integrable systems. Elements of KAM theory. Course topics will be discussed in lectures, supplemented by home exercises, which will be assigned periodically to the students. A oral exam, where the student must discuss the proposed topics in depth and quantitatively, underlining their most significant aspects.

Several surveys and studies have shown that these social determinants are closely connected with health conditions, which are generally worse in disadvantaged socioeconomic environments.

Inequality is widely recognised as a major obstacle to development. The reduction of inequalities within and among countries is central to the SDGs of the Agenda. The Middle East Mediterranean region is afflicted by various long-term humanitarian crises, the displacement of population, and gender inequality. The situation in some countries of the Middle East Mediterranean region is so critical that it makes it very hard to guarantee every citizen access to healthcare. In the refugee camps in Lebanon and Jordan, for instance, there are major mental health problems.

This complex topic was debated by experts from the World Health Organisation, politicians, and diplomats. Regional cooperation in the Middle East Mediterranean region Often, regional co-operation is both the objective and the instrument of projects that involve actors from different countries and different sectors of a region.

The panel discussed various forms of diplomacy — scientific, cultural, and artistic — used to promote intercultural dialogue. The discussion focused on the Sommet des deux rivesthe AtWork project of the Moleskine Foundation, and on the projects supported by the Union for the Mediterranean, a consortium of 43 member states.

In this context, innovation gets a wider meaning, not limited to technological change. It involves other dimensions too, such as organizational change in production and distribution processes, financial innovation, the emergence of new institutions and regulations.

The course 40 hours follows a seminar format, with introductory lectures, and lively discussion and exchange. Students will attend class regularly and do the readings, that they are expected to discuss and — occasionally — to present to the class. In the second part of the course students will write, present and discuss an individual project pages academic paper on a topic agreed upon with the lecturer. A detailed list of readings will be provided at the beginning of the course.

Both the readings and the lectures' slides are available to students on the e-learning platform Moodle. Cerchi il programma?

Genetic improvement of cultivated plants is the most viable approach to fostering sustainable agriculture in the future. The main goal of the course is to supply the students with knowledge about tools and strategies used in breeding programs, combining quantitative genetics and biotechnology to identify the genomic regions containing genes of interest.

The effects of domestication and breeding on the genome of crops will be presented to have a wider overview about the challenges that modern breeding has to face. The course is ideally linked to those dealing with Advanced molecular and cellular biotechnology and Functional genomics and bioinformatics. Risultati apprendimento attesi.

After following this course, the students will have basic knowledge of the most recent molecular breeding approaches. They will be familiar with the available technologies to produce molecular markers and their application to linkage map construction, QTL mapping and in general to plant breeding. They will be familiar with the pros and cons of alternative strategies available to identify the genetic determinant controlling agronomic traits.

Students will be able to evaluate the advantages and limitations of the different breeding strategies and select the most appropriate for specific goals. Programma e organizzazione didattica. Organizzazione didattica. Siti didattici. Gregis Veronica. The Conservatory specializes in the research and training in the music arts and offers public productions featuring its student and faculty. Today, the Conservatorio has over students and more than professors offering predominantly individual lessons in addition to instruction in a wide range of performance-based musical groups. During the year the Conservatorio offers many free concerts featuring their students and has an active program with national and international performers.

Final performance exams are accessible to the public. The offer of a high standard of teaching and the parallel professional preparation of its students have always been and will be even more the goals of the Institute. Only a big and continuous effort for high standards — seeking the best available resources — will enable the Institute itself to involve the labour market successfully. Only through the internationalization of education, experience and training courses can the Institute achieve its aims for high artistic levels.

Though the Conservatorio is a state institution it has been active for years in obtaining funds through a network of agreements with both local and national bodies, companies and banks. Indeed the high standards of the Conservatorio — acknowledged both nationally and internationally — have made these agreements successful, paving the way for a further increase in the next future.

The precious experience of the last three years has been very important in achieving its five priorities. Our present strategy focuses on general priority targets on which the Erasmus project works giving an essential boost through its constant challenge and co-operation with international institutions. Whether not in possession of this certification, the student will need to take an admission language exam. The Conservatory will consider as valid the registration to the admission examination, only after the receipt of the permission and relevant consular documentation: all the applications online without valid residency permit attached will be rejected.
